If your handset develops a fault within 28 days of you buying it…
We’ll happily exchange your handset, if bought from Carphone Warehouse and develops a manufacturer fault within 28 days of you buying it. If 28 days have passed, bring it into any Carphone Warehouse store and we’ll help you get it repaired.
What is a manufacturer fault?
A manufacturer fault is any problem that develops because of the way the phone was made.
How much does a repair cost?

The cost of repairs covered by insurance varies depending on the type of policy you have. If not repaired in 14 days you will get a £10 voucher (does not apply to iPhone and Blackberry)
How do I get my handset repaired?
Bring it to any Carphone Warehouse store. We’ll check your phone to see if we can fix it there and then, and send it off to our central repair workshop if we can’t. Or, if you have a Carphone Warehouse Express Repair Centre near you, bring it there. We can often repair faults on site the same day.
How long will it take to repair my handset?
- If you bring it into an Express Repair Centre many faults can be fixed on the same day.
- If your handset is sent to our central repair workshop repair can take up to 14 days (we’ll give you £10 to spend in store if it takes any longer).
- If your handset has to be sent to the manufacturer for specialist repair it can take up to 28 days (we are not responsible for the time the manufacturer takes to repair the handset).
What if I didn’t buy my handset from Carphone Warehouse?
It doesn't matter – we'll still repair it and we’ll even repair manufacturer faults covered by the warranty for free. All you need to do is bring your handset into a Carphone Warehouse store and show us proof of purchase.
Can you lend me another handset while mine is being repaired?
Yes, just ask when you're in the store. You may need to pay a deposit of up to £50.
