How do I buy Geek Squad insurance?


You can buy insurance in any Carphone Warehouse store or by calling 0800 049 1067.
  • You can only sign up for Geek Squad insurance within 14 days of buying or upgrading your mobile, laptop or USB modem.
  • At the moment we only provide Geek Squad insurance policies for mobiles, laptops or USB modems bought from The Carphone Warehouse.
  • You can upgrade your cover within 14 days of signing up and downgrade your cover at any time. Call Geek Squad on 0800 049 6190 to do this.

How do I make a claim?


  • If you’ve got a problem with your mobile phone bring it into any Carphone Warehouse store.
  • If your mobile phone, laptop or USB modem was lost or stolen, you can claim on our website or by calling 0800 049 4335 (calls may be recorded and monitored).
  • When you make a claim we'll need your name, date of birth, address and the policy number shown on your Certificate of Insurance. Please make sure you have these ready.
To make a claim online if your mobile was lost or stolen:
    1. Go to Making an insurance claim online  
    2. Fill out all sections of the form that appears at the bottom of your screen
    3. Read the declaration at the bottom of the form and tick the box to accept the conditions

How do I change my address or bank details?


You can do this on our website. Just select what you would like to do from the dropdown menu. You can also call 0800 049 1067 (calls may be recorded and monitored).

Can I change the direct debit date for my insurance policy payments?

Yes - you can change your payment date if you pay monthly and have already made your first payment. To change your direct debit date: 
  1. Go to Contact us on our website
  2. Select ‘Payments and Direct Debit’ from the dropdown under ‘Choose a category’
  3. Choose ‘Change Direct Debit date’ from the dropdown under ‘More about my query’
  4. Click ‘Continue’ and fill out the form that will appear at the bottom of your screen. Select ‘Reset’ to start again, or ‘Submit’ to send the form

Can I cancel my Geek Squad insurance policy?


You can cancel your insurance policy at any time by completing the online form:
  1. Go to www.carphonewarehouse.com/contactus
  2. Select Email us
  3. Select Insurance > Cancel my insurance

When will my cover end?

  • If you cancel your policy within 14 days of the first payment being taken from your account, we’ll refund it and terminate your policy straight away.
  • If you cancel after this, we’ll cancel your policy and you’ll continue to be covered until the date covered by your last payment.
  • You can request a refund by calling us on 0800 049 1067 (calls may be recorded and monitored). We’ll decide if you're eligible for a refund - if you are we'll pay the money into your account within seven days

How do I make a complaint about my policy?


We hope you are happy with the service that we provide. However, if you are not happy with it for any reason we'd like to hear from you. You can complain in three ways:
  • Go to Contact us on our website and select Email us > Complaints
  • Write us a letter including your name, date of birth, address and the policy number shown on your Certificate of Insurance. Send it to:

How do I change my payment date?


You can change your payment date whenever you like as long as you pay monthly and have already made your first payment. To change your direct debit date: 
    1. Go to www.carphonewarehouse.com/contactus
    2. Click on the Geek Squad logo
    3. Select Payments and Direct Debit
    4. Select Change of Direct Debit detail
    5. Click Continue and fill out the form that will appear at the bottom of your screen
    6. Select Submit to send the form
